De Waterkant in Cape Town is an inspiring contemporary residence with sweeping views of the city, the waterfront and Signal Hill. Pinc transformed an old run-down cottage into this modern open-plan four-story home. The ground floor has spacious and modern living spaces, opening onto a patio and refreshing pool. The first level has two bedrooms, both en-suite. The main bedroom has a balcony, small dressing room, and a steam shower. A spectacular feature is the large electric sliding skylight which opens to a large rooftop deck area with a built-in barbecue.

By excavating below ground level, we also created a guest suite with an en-suite bathroom and separate laundry room. In order to keep the basement light and ventilated, we installed a large glass panel and a skylight.
